What to do with your Live Rock when you receive it?

When you receive your rock Live Rock it is best to still cure it for 3 days in a separate tank or tub before putting it your tank. All you need is a powerhead to keep the water moving then after like 3 days take it out and rinse it thoroughly with a hard spraying hose to get any extra lose debris off. Then the live rock should be good to go in your tank. If you are trying to put new Live Rock in a already established tank you need to cure for atleast a week and clean it thoroughly to make sure any die off has fallen off the rock. This is to make sure your ammonia level doesnt spike in your tank.

Please make sure if you have questions about curing to please email me and I will help you the best I can. This is a delicate hobby and I dont want anyone to lose there whole tank by putting uncured rock in there. Thank you for doing business with International Marine Fish

SECOND STEP: Run these tests and make sure that they for fill are standards.
Ammonia - 0.0 ppm; Nitrites - 0.0 ppm; Nitrates 0.0 - 30 ppm; pH - 8.1 - 8.4; specific gravity - 1.021 - 1.025.fragile.
If these match take sample of water pack it in plastic container.

THIRD STEP: To freeze deceased specie for atleast 2 days. Then package it (IN SAME BOX BUT IN DIFFERENT CONTAINER) with the container of tested water.

FINAL STEP: You would then get a credit for your specie plus the shipping you paid to send it back to us! We cannot give refunds only credits. So please do the best you can to work with us!
